Culture Drives Results
Discovering and replicating ways to make organizational culture tangible has been my mission in 2023. Culture, or how people work together, is that invisible agent that brings strategy to life and determines business performance.
It has been fascinating connecting the dots on the business and people frameworks/aspects that every unit has. They are the way and language used in which they progress their efforts. At the most basic level, we are all in the information transmission business. Our ability to share our ideas and inspire action towards a common objective is what drives success. It is through the willingness to practice and repetition that trends and insights are born.
Collaboration, the way we work, communication and describing our value to the business are recurrent themes of continued attention for leaders and teams. The constant changing business environment requires that all of us are deliberate in working on our interpersonal skills / behaviors to raise our emotional quotient. Our interpersonal effectiveness to connect, unwind conflict, communicate intentionally, and drive a shared definition/ understanding of what, why and how we work together is essential to bring to life the culture that a company desires.
As I wrap up the work for this year, I am thankful to the teams and leaders that trusted me in supporting them in their journey. It takes courage, dedication and intention to grow into that better version of self. We can only give that to who we are. Leadership is not the exception.
The journey has been of introspection ranging from understanding how we are wired, the strengths and blind spots we may have individually and collectively as a team, upgrading mindsets, defining the desired experience that as leaders we want to create for those that work with us, growing as a more cohesive team and much more so that at the end a thriving work environment is created to achieve extraordinary business results.
