Birthday!

My Birthday! - Aug 25

Thank you to all that took the time to celebrate it before my trip to Italy, those who were here with me, the phone calls, and the ones that sent a message. I truly appreciate them all from the bottom of my heart.

Some people believe their birthday is one more day... To me it is the beginning of a new year of life. It is the day I showed up in the world, August 25th! I like to reflect where I am and where I would like to be. As soon as I woke up, the happiest feeling overtook me. It took me a minute to remember that I was not at home. I am in Florence; my room is pristine white. All to my liking. I took my time to get ready and go out to explore the city… I love walking and taking everything in…

The celebration started the night before, I enjoyed a beautiful sunset at Ponte Vecchio. As you guys know, I often sit out to enjoy it. Then the next morning, close to my B&B, there was a church “Chiesa del Santi Michele e Gaetano.” I am not religious, however I could not help taking the time to thank God and the Universe for the fabulous life I have created for myself. There was a picture of Nostra Signora de Fatima. A beautiful image. It inspires peace and a big love of a mother. Just like the sweetest birthday wish messages I received from my mom and dad. Reflecting a bit more, a birthday marks the beginning of a new phase in the life of parents and a child. It is a super big event!

This year, I am starting my new year of life with a trip for pleasure and vacation. I haven’t had one in many years where my work laptop stayed behind. A new beginning for sure. I am happier, healthier, clearer, stronger, centered, grounded. All the intentional self-development training, the experiences and choices I have made to shape a life that I love have paid off. It is the beginning of an extraordinary new phase in my life. Cheers for that!

How do you like to spend your birthday? It is a time to reflect and set the intentions for the next 12 months or it is just one more day?
