Cinque Terre and Pisa – What a day!

(Aug 28)

Beautiful scenery and amazing architecture. I was in ohhh!! From the colorful houses going up the mountain to the white magnificent marble. Fantastic all along. Great friends/company, tour guide and sea food. It was truly an awesome day to recharge the soul and discover new worlds.

Cinque Terre is breath taking: five colorful towns hanging from the mountains, overlooking the ocean, and surrounded by terraces of plantations of grapes and olives. Thousands of stairs take you inside the towns through narrow picturesque streets. It is like being on a fairy tale… Vernazza reminds me of the Disney’s movie Luca scenery…

Then, seeing for the first time the square where the Pisa tower is located was a great surprise. It is a collection of wonderful white marble architectural pieces on a bright green grass carpet. As you may suspect, art and architecture in Italy carries a deep meaning. In the case of Pisa, these structures represent the cycle of life: birth (Pisa Baptistry), life trajectory (Pisa Cathedral), change announcement (Pisa Leaning - Bell Tower), death (Pisa Cemetery).

Intention, attention to detail, imagination and innovation is the summary of the day. Italian leaders, driven by purpose, have created these amazing places. They had a vision and made it a reality.

What is that purpose, vision, passion and reality that moves you? If you are not sure about it, where or with who are you engaging to awaken to them?
