Care for Your Body!

Our body is the vessel to carry us through life. What are you doing to care for it?

One of the keys to keep ourselves energized and with an empowered mind frame is by taking care of our physiology / state. Have you noticed that when you have good nutrition, proper night sleep, exercise, go for a walk, laugh, and/or just keep your body moving that your mind resets /refreshes and your mood improves?

It is like powering on and off your computer. If not done on a regular basis, the memory and performance of the computer is affected by slowing it down, programs start to work in a faulty manner, and it takes longer to complete simple tasks. Well, that is nothing different with our body when we don’t take time to recharge.

When we establish a routine of proper sleep and regular activity / exercise, our body produces dopamine, the well-being hormone. That is like having a fully charged battery on our laptop. This helps us better manage our emotions, levels of energy and focus.

Today at Beyond, my coaching tribe, we had Brian Bradley from Egoscue joined our call. He shared great advice and the importance of having good body alignment through simple exercises that can be done throughout the day. Many of us sit for many hours. This with time generates blockages in our body. Then understanding the what, how and why we do the stretches to realign our body is key.

Having a good nutrition, moving, maintaining regular physical activity and getting help to improve our body alignment are a great way to care for our body…. the vessel that carries us through life.
