My Sister

July 9th, a special day for my family… Is the day my youngest sister, Ana Carolina, was born. I still remember when she arrived at home with my dad and a nurse. She had to stay at the hospital longer as she was born premature. We were all excited! She finally arrived to be with us.

If you have younger siblings, you may be able to reminisce how wonderful that experience is when a new family member arrives. I can clearly remember carrying, taking care and playing with her. It is with much love and pride that I see the extraordinary woman she has become.

A daughter, sister, wife, mother of two, friend, active member of her community and many more... She faces life with tenacity, love, clarity, resilience, decision and a constant search to be a better person overall. Her passion for life and her family is admirable. When she puts her mind to something, watch out because with no doubt she will make it happen. I am blessed to have her as my sister with a huge heart and a perspective that always enriches mine.

Anita, thank you for being in my life and for who you are. No words can express what you mean to me.

And for you reading this post, when was the last time you took some time to connect with your sibling(s) or a loved one and let them know how important he/she is for you?
