New Year’s Resolution Time!

🎈🎈 Did you know that for many of us New Year’s Resolutions are one of the common frustration areas? We start strong and soon the excitement and drive dies down stopping us from achieving our goal…

💡 I would like to share with you two considerations I learned this year when setting goals... so maybe we can all increase our rate of success to accomplish our resolutions. ⚠️ Are you up for it?

First, the approach of setting goals with an end 🎯 vs. means 🔄 mindset. Now, I am intentionally focusing on the end experience, feeling and who will I be sharing the results with instead of an interim step to achieve the mean final outcome… I realized that when I can envision the ultimate result, it excites me more to keep going… 🎉and fuels my will and passion to find a way to achieve it. For example, in the past when I decided to lose weight I focused on the process and stressed myself 😬 when the scale did not show the targeted XX pounds. Now I imagine the way I will feel, the clothes I can fit in and going to the pool not feeling self-conscious… 😊✨✨ Having the end vision and what I will experience have made going to the gym and having balanced nutritious meals an easy choice.

Second, I understand that humans only change either through pain 😖 and/or pleasure 😀... so I have written down what it will cost me not losing weight and being fit. I connected with the time I was three sizes up from where I am today… and remembered the feeling were nothing looked good and my energy levels were low… going to the pool was a nightmare because I was not comfortable with myself… 😢 the pain and the cost of not feeling ok with myself is what keeps me in check to not deviate from my diet and putting off my exercise routine. Remembering the pain of being off track and contrasting with the pleasure of being on the weight and fitness level I have chosen for myself has helped me sustain my end goal… 😊💪💪

Hope these simple tips and examples help you with setting your 2021 resolutions… Let’s increase our success rate to achieve them by approaching them with an end 🎯goal mindset and by writing down the pain 😖 and/or pleasure 😃 they will bring us. 🎊🎉🎉
