Superhero?
It has been a great start of the year!
Shaping our vision of who we want to become in 2022 is a key step to identify the characteristics and actions we need to take.
Last week I shared questions to focus on, then during the class we worked on our mindset to get us ready for goal setting, this week launched the weekday LeadershipNow Clubhouse room to reprogram, recharge and refocus ourselves to become the leaders that we are meant to be and the world is waiting for.
Today I want to offer one more tool: Identifying who we want to model? During the Unblinded call, we were asked who are the fictional and non-fictional characters we want to model. We all are attracted to the characteristics and the ideas they represent. These models show us that our desires are already a reality that we can achieve. Then the importance of identifying them and sharing why they are important to us.
In my case, I often think about the Mo’at (mom) and Neytiri’s (main character) in Avatar, Mulan and La Reina del Sur. These four women are self-confident and courageous. They make possible what seems impossible, especially during adversity. They are willing to explore, face their fears and awaken to new sides of themselves. They have a deep love for life and those around them. They want to grow and build a supportive community of wisdom. They are leaders proud of their heritage that bring people along, while helping them become a better version of themselves.
Who are your superheroes or fictional characters that you want to keep top of mind during 2022?
What are the characteristics and super powers you want to model and see in yourself?
