A Break
Have you felt the need to make a stop? Those times where your drive seemed to slow down and changing the routine just happens…
That is where I have been for a couple of weeks. Our life follows cycles, however many of us run towards a go, go, go mode. It is a strange feeling of not being constantly producing and building. When I slow down, it is my time to take inventory, appreciate progress, purge and identify the calibration needed. It is the time to identify what needs to shift and emptiness should be created to allow space for the new to come in.
Spring cleaning has become more present to me, as it helps take out the clutter around home and other spaces. I usually tend to hold on to things longer than may be needed. Then it has been a good practice for me to let go of clothes and other objects I don’t use. But is not only about the cleaning; resting, sleeping, and swimming have been a big part of it too. I am learning that by working on my physical environment also helps me to gain clarity mentally and spiritually.
Many times I have heard about this concept, however now I am experiencing it more. And… I am liking it. I have stopped the constant pushing myself to go, go, go for an approach of allowing things to occur.
The secret is to have clarity on the path and outcomes I would like in my life. Then, monitoring my thoughts and actions congruence with them is what has helped me to have a more pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable overall experience.
Today at dance class my teacher noticed… You feel lighter, you are learning faster… it just works… He asked me what happened to me… and the answer was simply… I am more Happy and Enjoying the Simple and Big Things…
Identify your Cycles and take some time to break, create space for new things and simply enjoy yourself and what surrounds you today. Try it… It's truly amazing!
